In this first episode of United World Radio’s new multipart series ‘Legends of Africa’ we travel to the banks of the River Congo to hear the music of the ‘Congo Colossus’, Franco. From a childhood spent on the streets of Léopoldville, François Luambo Makiadi grew to be known as the master of Congolese Rumba and one of Africa’s greatest ever guitarists and band leaders.
